It's an achromatic refractor with an 81 mm objective lens configuration and 910 mm focal length with a 1:11.2 aperture ratio. The Crown and flint glass lens elements, combined with multi-coated optics and the long aperture ratio, work to produce high-contrast images with accurate color rendition for an achromat.

This creates an optical performance level that makes the A81M an ideal choice for astrophotography. Make imaging easier using this A81M that weighs less than 3 kg and at less than 1 meter long. It's light-sensitive more than the human eye for 134x and gives or opens a new perspective of the night sky. Easy imaging integrates a 90° flip mirror with two 1.25" eyepiece holders to make observations in unfavorable conditions and a T2 thread for connecting a DSLR camera. And so the tracking accuracy can be corrected and checked with the simple flipping mirror without removing and re-mounting the delicate photo setup.
