The SP40 operates on a single 18650 Li-ion rechargeable battery, and you have the option to operate it with a 18350 battery by using the replaceable battery host. The switch controls the entire function, with low, medium and high settings, and a hidden turbo mode. Please note that there are two versions available, one with Cree XPL LED and the other with Samsung LH351D 90CRI lamp beads, and the latter has TIR Optics.
The headlamp's dimensions are 108mm (length)*25mm (head diameter), and it weighs 63±1 gram (without batteries), making it lightweight and comfortable to wear for long periods. The flashlight body is made of aerospace-grade 6061 aluminum alloy, CNC-manufactured to military-grade specification type Ⅲ hard-anodized anti-abrasive finish to ensure a durable, anti-crash geometry and better heat exchange. The headlamp has a toughened mineral glass lens and is waterproof in accordance with IPX7.
The SP40 also features reverse polarity protection from improper battery installation, and mode memory, which remembers the last brightness level used in the general modes (except strobe). Additionally, the headlamp has advanced temperature regulation (ATR) technology, which automatically adjusts the brightness level when the driver temperature reaches 55℃ to prevent overheating.
The headlamp comes with a power indicator that blinks in green for 5 seconds if the remaining battery power is over 30%. When the indicator turns to red, it means that the battery juice is below 30%. A flashing red light indicates low power, which means that you should replace or recharge the battery as soon as possible.
The package includes the headlamp, a clip, a USB cable, two replaceable O-rings, and a 18350 battery tube. If you choose the option with the 18650 battery, the package also includes a 3000mah 18650 battery.
